I am a Master Captain license holder with the necessary insurance. Safety equipment will be provided unless informed otherwise. Life jackets are expected to be worn, if you take it off you assume all responsibility. The water can be dangerous, and we will always shade to the side of caution.

The captain may cancel any charter without refund for any of the following reasons: Any member of the charter is intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, possessing any illegal drugs, acts in an unruly disruptive manner, poses a threat to safe operation of the vessel, or obstructs the captain and/or crew from their normal duties. The captain has a “ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY” for illegal drugs including medical marijuana being carried onboard.

Fish cleaning is on you, we are educating, so education on cleaning fish is in play. I suggest cleaning at home (reminder to freeze the guts and such. Then toss them in garbage on trash day so it doesn’t destroy your cans or really piss off your garbage man, no one wants to see a puking garbage man at 4am). Some boat launches have fish cleaning stations. If you choose to clean at a station, you should have a good filet knife with sharpener, gallon bags or larger, and a permanent marker. I can show you or walk you thru doing the cleaning. On the bags write name, date, location. No more than two fish per gallon bag, lay them flat and filet have to stay whole with skin on. This is the law! This process will help you if you have an interaction with DNR officer and let’s make this as easy as a situation as possible. Again, it’s just easier to clean at home. It is your responsibility to know the laws and follow them. In some cases I can clean your fish for you for a fee per fish.

Have digital or paper copy of your license and or stamps or permits when needed. Some states require stamps or special license, and I'll be sure you know if there is anything special you need. I have links for states license purchase.

I will be watching the weather prior to the trip and will contact you about 72hrs prior to the trip to discuss our options. We will have already spoken during booking. Booking will be for deposit and rough location of launch so you can book your overnight stay if needed. Depending on what trip you are booking there may be more involved on the phone prior to trip.

$200 deposit is required at time of booking. Remaining balance is to be paid prior to boat leaving our port of choosing. Also with the deposit will be a waiver form to sign acknowledging you have read these terms. If you as the client need to cancel, the deposit can be rolled over to another booking if given notice 72hrs in advance. Any cancellation less than 72hrs will not be refunded. If we have a weather cancellation, you can reschedule or get refund. I do not control mother nature, and we will always use good judgment. We will be launching out of any launch that puts us in the best position for the trip and will be chosen by the captain. I will always shade to the side of caution so that the trip will be comfortable. If you are a full send kind of guy or gal, be sure to mention at booking. I will not destroy my boat, but the boat can handle some waves. I will do my best to get you on the water, I do recognize how exciting this can be, I get excited every time too. I also understand things happen in life as well. Do your absolute best to make this trip your priority because it is my priority. If you are a disorganized, fly by the seat of your pants type maybe I am not your guy. I take your experience serious and you having fun is huge for me. I want this enjoyable from booking into catching and learning to fish, don’t make the business side of things unenjoyable. Time is something we can never get back so please be just on time or tad early. Anyone more than 30 mins late will be considered a cancelled trip, and no refunds will be submitted.

Sea sickness-You need to get really honest with yourself about this topic. I strongly urge you to not try to find out if you get sick or not on this trip. There are medicines to help with sea sickness. Dramamine and Bonine are ones I have used in my life when I have felt a just in case situation coming before me. Make sure you read all instructions for how your body deals with those types of medicines. The taking of these medicines is strictly on you and your responsibility. It is up to you to go in early if someone is sick. There will not be refunds for any sickness, so make sure you know whether or not you may fall victim to blowing major chunks.

If you are looking to fill coolers here is a list of gents that I respect or have a friendship with

Capt. Brian Pendergrass loves filling coolers. Be sure to ask him how we met, it’s a rather funny story. He is a fantastic man and really cares about your experience.

I grew up fishing and hunting with Capt. Frank. Frank is an incredible human being and OG of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario fishing. His incredibly long history on the Great Lakes and his mastermind should be taken advantage of before it’s too late and Capt. Frank retires.

Dave is an absolute killer on the water but behind the scenes is very kind to me with some peppered in harshness. Although some may not agree, trust me he is a teddy bear. He was a force to be reckoned with on the tournament circuits.

If you are out west in ND or FL and want to learn from a master at electronics and everything in between Johnnie is one of the best to ever do it. I have a long history with Johnnie and you will not find anyone like him. His extensive history fishing all over the country is hard to be beat. As a kid I fished with him and his late father. He may be one of, if not the best communicators in the space but I might be a little bias. Without question Johnnie implanted the bug in me to fish tournaments.

    Social Media

Social media is a large part of today's businesses. It is no different here, but phone usage or audio recording is not allowed on the boat. I understand emergencies happen and we will discuss this further in our phone call prior to the trip. Your experience on the trip is important to me and your engagement is a must. I have multiple cameras and will be taking all photos and videos. After our trip I will send you the photos from the day and often I will do a video of the trip, if you choose. I will share this with you afterwards and I take my time creating these videos. I ask you to share these videos and photos and tag my social media accounts in it. Once I send you the media, I encourage you to post it all your social media platforms, again tagging or mentioning me in those posts. There is a discount on your next trip that we will discuss on our phone call when you meet the requirements of posting on social media.‍ ‍

My late father was a total music nut and because of him I have always been into lyrics and music. My father was a beautiful writer as well and I feel that influence attracted me to lyrics. We would often send each other music and talk about lyrics. So, in honoring him, I take extra time and consideration in picking the music and words in my posts. Often the music will have multiple hidden meanings along with the post. I hope you all enjoy it and enjoy finding the hidden meaning in each and every post.

The secret phrase that I will ask you about to ensure you read this is “Stay hard.” Acknowledgement agreement will need to be signed prior to leaving.

Lastly, what I am doing no one is doing and if they are, it’s failing miserably. I am not going to ignore the elephant in the room. Time is important to me, and it should be for everyone out there. Don’t waste mine and if you want to get a few laughs and make jokes we can do that under the right setting. I won’t waste your time, don’t waste mine. Let us all be ladies and gentlemen and move on from something, let’s all make something good come from it. If you want to challenge yourself, book with me and just see for yourself…. maybe I am not who you thought I was.
